Hiermee wil ek graag my dank uitspreek aan Model Cup vir die uitstaande wyse waarop hulle ons jeug help om doelgerig vorentoe te beweeg in die lewe, met die leuse : I'm a Model Cup winner!!!
Dankie Model Cup. - Laurien Stone (Wes-Gauteng) Four years ago nobody would think that I would be standing here today as an independent woman, a mother and a role model to a lot of young girls. I was about to get married to the "So-called" Man of my dreams just to realize that I would soon discover that is only a dream. I gave him everything that he could want and in return he Ran me down, Insulted me, called me names and told me that I wasn't good enough to achieve anything in life. After a while I started believing everything he told me was true and tried to commit suicide twice in one week. Luckily I never succeeded and I was heartbroken that I couldn't even get it right to kill myself. After a while I took a long look at my life and decided to make some changes. The first change I made was that I made was taking the courage to ask my husband (which by this time was a full blown Alcoholic) to take his stuff and move out. That was only done with the strength of the Lord that I manage to pull this off. That was the first step in the road to recovery and rebuilding myself esteem. It was just me and my son from now on. I stumbled across a Competition called Model cup with the slogan we Inspire and uplift. I ve done their competitions and up and till today I have reached and achieved more in one year that I've done in my whole life. They have encouraged me to do my own clothing range and today I have all the girls of Model cup look up to me as their role model and I try to be the best guidance to them and to make them believe that when you put your mind to something the only person that can make it happen is yourself. I've taken up the task of taking a charity which I try to support by collecting funds etc. I also have a full time job as a personal assistant to one of the directors of my company, and at the same time i run his function venue in Midrand as well as doing all the admin and everything else for his other company. In my free time I do fashion Designing and corporate gifts I believe that I can be a role model to a lot more young people, than just be restricted to modelling competitions and pageants. Inner beauty is worth a lot more than a title, a sash and tiara. - Madre Nell (Western Gauteng) We would like to thank Modelcup for the excellent opportunity and platform for our child to gain confidence and develop a winning mindset. Without the continual opportunities to compete, this would not have been possible. The feedback, ranking and point systems made it easy to persevere, because coming first is not everything- especially if you realise that you are improving every time when you compete. Modelcup's management is experienced, professional and supportive; they go the extra mile for their members. Our daughter won a R250 000 modelling contract through model cup, which has opened up possible long term career opportunities for her in modelling. Modelcup delivers, should you be willing to invest. Thank you once again! - Bernise (16) & Louise (mom) Schubert |

Model Cup points for Provincial Finals
For the models who competed at the Provincial Finals, there are two rankings to consider:
1st your Provincial Colours ranking which will show first on your profile before your list of competitions attended. These are the results you received on the day, and should correspond to your certificate. (If you had a reserve year point that could have pushed up your score of the day, it did improve your provincial score and possibly ranking)
2nd your Day Competition ranking (there are 6, one for each division), your ranking and points was worked out in your Model Cup Age group (Females: up to 7, 8-11, 12-15, 16-19, 20+ and Males: up to 10, 11-15, 16+). The actual point was your day score, not your provincial score . These type of results was not given on the day of the competition.
On the Past Competitions page, you can also download a PDF that will make this clearer for you to understand.

Model Cup (www.modelcup.co.za) together with selected models from all over SA competed in the Model Cup Team against other Modelling Teams from all over SA at the latest National Model Conference (NMC) hosted on Saturday 10th April at the Centurion Lake Hotel. Models competed in three divisions namely Ramp, Pageant and Freestyle. In the Fourth Division each team had to present a Fashion Show. Various Model Cup Members walked away with different prizes, and the Model Cup Team as a whole won the main prize as the Best National Team!
